Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius, Let the shedding begin

This week has been INSANE! Astrologically we have some extremely tense transits this week, and if you have been keeping up to date on my weekly forecasts, than you know this is an important time for acknowledging unhealthy thought patterns and getting prepared to release them so that we can step further into the selves we are working towards becoming.

If you have been having a hard time getting it together, or finding strength and energy the past couple weeks, you are not alone! Eclipse bubbles are draining. There is so much we are bumping up against and absorbing, we are much more easily susceptible to burn out.

The Lunar Eclipse will happen this Friday on the 27th of July at 12:52PM PST at 4 degrees of Aquarius. This is the longest eclipse of the century. It has been 120 years since we have had a Total Lunar Eclipse that has lasted over 60 minutes. According to Nasa, this Eclipse with be lasting 100 minutes and in Astrology the karmic effects of an Eclipse in ones life like this will have a ripple effect of change within the self an in our external lives for over the next 6 months.

To learn more about the visibility of the Lunar Eclipse and how it gets it's orange color giving it the name the "Blood Moon," you can go here : https://www.space.com/33786-lunar-eclipse-guide.html

This Eclipse calls for us to examine our thought patterns and what we tell ourselves about the world that is a perception that may be holding us back from progress within our lives. Because this Eclipse falls on the Lunar South Node, it is about releasing past life karma.

For those who are unfamiliar with the "South Node" in Astrology, this link tells the story of Rahu and Ketu, and what the North and South Nodes mean in the birth chart represent: http://www.astro.com/astrology/tma_article171108_e.htm

I prefer to pass on links to articles that I believe give you, the reader, the best information on the subject I am explaining, rather than dumbing down the explanation as I tend to be impatient and also have a tendency to over explain once I get started on something and as someone on the more beginner side of Astrology, I would rather let the long time experts explain more in depth rather butchering beautiful mythology. I hope you enjoy the articles I have included for further reading.

As the article above states, the South Node in an individuals chart can become a place of stagnation, or a comfort zone, usually rooted in something we have created in our past. This comfort zone whether positive or negative, can prohibit us from taking the nessacary steps or risks to evolve within our spiritual and physical self.

A Lunar Eclipse happens on a Full Moon, and Full Moon's represent and time in cutting chords that bind us as well as letting things go so that we can make space for new things to be born.

Eclipse's act like a symbolic chord cutter that is karmic in nature because it happens when the Moon and Sun are paired with either Rahu or Ketu.

The sign of the Eclipse always holds significance to the energy at play in our lives and what we are being called to collectively focus on.

The other astrological transits around this Eclipse also play a huge role in dictating how these changes will take place in our lives.

We do have free will to an extent, and it is our perceptions and how we react to things happening around us that dictate the way the energy all in all will manifest. It is always important to remember, regardless of what is happening celestially, what we put out, is what comes back to us.

This Eclipse is in the fixed air sign of Aquarius. Aquarius rules the 11th house in Astrology and is associated with the collective consciousness of the planet and cosmos. It also rules our associations with groups, activism, and friendships.

Because Aquarius is ruled by Uranus and Saturn, the dance between structure and chaos for this house is prominent. How can we create structures that benefit the entire collective? How can we champion for the rights of individuals within a diverse multicultural world? How do we acknowledge all life on this planet, not just humans? How do we share our beliefs with others, the world, and are we too rigid or too adaptable?

Here is what we have going on astrologically for the Eclipse and how this may factor into the themes in your life:

The Moon and Mars will be conjunct with the South Node in Aquarius making an Opposition to the Sun and North Node conjunct in Leo.

The Sun and North Node in Leo will be squaring off with Uranus in Taurus, While the Mars and Moon in Aquarius will also be making a Square to Uranus in Taurus.

Squares are tense and hard aspects in the chart. They create difficulties and challenges in pushing this energy forward. This energy will be effecting our relationships with our families, careers, and partners as well as our own identity within those relationships. We will be feeling a lot of tension around our productivity level and we need to move slowly as there is a huge risk for accidents, misunderstandings, arguments, and disruptions throughout the day as well as the weekend.

We also have Saturn in the mix inconjunct the Sun and North Node causing more problems with how we are obtaining structure in our lives. We need to be open to things not going our way on this day.
