Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn, Your Weekly Forecast 6/29-7/5

July is upon us! Did you know the month of July was named after Julius Cesar? I had no idea until I decided to look it up just now for you all. It is interesting that my curiosity for this would spark the week we have a Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn. Capricorn energy to me embodies a lot of what great leaders possess. It is the energy that strives towards achievement, success. It wants to win, or be the best. Lunar Eclipse’s fall on the Full Moon, which is a time for things to be released. We are watching leaders from the past fall from grace as the truth of their travesties comes more and more into the collective consciousness. Taking down statues of colonial empires, demanding the truth to come out, these are all themes we are seeing during this powerful time. We are watching the embodiment of this energy during a time we are trying to defund institutionalized structures such as the Police. Redistribution of wealth and a changing of power is a large theme, and the Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn may facilitate the right frequency for the breaking down of old structures to take place.
The fact that the Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn is on the 4th of July also feels symbolic in its own right. This Lunar Eclipse is at 13 ° of Capricorn making an exact opposition to the United States Sun in Cancer. Evelyn has written a more extensive article on this in her blog post you can read here.
At the beginning of this week we have a lot of energy focused on Mercury and our Sun conjoining in the sign of Cancer, making harmonious aspects to Uranus in Taurus, and hard aspects to Chiron in Aries. We may take things personally over the next few days, which enables us to evaluate areas of work we need to do when it comes to how we perceive ourselves and communicate our needs. We may be working on vulnerability and healing trauma or wounds in regard to our sense of self.
We benefit from going inward and reflecting on where we can work on not making everything about ourselves, and how we can also communicate more effectively with people in our immediate family. This is a good time for self reflection.

Jupiter and Pluto meet up today and create a larger than life frequency in the days ahead. Our need for expansion and growth is emphasized and we will begin to evaluate the values within systems in place we support or are influenced by. The Judgement card in the Tarot embodies this energy. We are asked in Judgment to check in with our higher selves and ask if we are living in line with our beliefs and values. Are we walking the talk? Do we embody our highest truth? If we were to strip away everything that props up our ego, and only have who we are in our purest self, would we be proud of who we see? If the answer is no, this is a good time to begin constructing a vision of the self that we are more in line with on a heart level. A way to do this is to find ways to align yourself with your values on a mundane level. When our mundane choices in life reflect our value systems, we are then able to live a life that embodies those philosophies or ideas on a bigger scale, if that is a potential goal we have in our lives.
With the Moon in Scorpio for the last half of the day, we may have to go to deep and uncomfortable parts of ourselves to truly see what work needs to be done. We have more healing to do within the subconscious. Feelings of inadequacy, envy, or frustration may come up if we are not wanting to go inward and do the work. It is best to recognize your triggers this week, and the root in which they began. In order to untangle the self, we must first identify where the seeds were first planted.

Our Sun in Cancer makes a hard aspect to Chiron in Aries today, causing us to potentially feel inadequate, insecure, or frustrated with triggers that spawn from past issues. The Sun represents our sense of self or things having to do with identity, Chiron represents a focus on areas within the self and the life that need healing. You can see where you have Cancer and Aries in your chart, and this may be an area that you are currently working on in your life.
Sun and Mercury meet up in Cancer making a harmonious aspect to Uranus in Taurus which means we are making breakthroughs when it comes to how we communicate our needs during this time. We may experience insights to new ways of seeing a past issue that we have been working through. This is a positive time to revamp our perceptions and how we communicate. We are learning to express the self and our feelings in a vulnerable and direct way. Reactivity is a sign that we are being triggered. If we feel reactive, or a need to jump to conclusions about something we perceive to be a certain way, this is an opportunity for us to take a step back and evaluate where we project our perceptions onto the situation or those around us. Learning to listen is just as important as asserting.
