There is quite a bit happening in the sky this week starting out with Neptune stationing direct on Wednesday the 10^th, Mercury ingresses into Sagittarius and Mars ingresses into Capricorn along with a slew of other notable transits that are broken down below!

The week starts out with Mars square Saturn on December 8^th, confronting your limitations and identifying where the road blocks exist. Mars in Sagittarius aims high and shoots even higher, the energy can get scattered into multiple directions making it hard to concentrate on one path so the square to Saturn can be a productive time to set limits and restraints when worked out can help to bring order to the madness. We sometimes need a breakdown of a situation in order to see where the loose threads are, after we have identified where the energy is leaking can we then begin to implement guidelines and boundaries.

December 10^th: Neptune direct! & Venus square the nodes while still in her morning star phase. Venus morning star in Sagittarius makes her a bit unhinged, willing to take a risk financially, aesthetically, artistically, and also in love. Venus is being awakened by new prospects on the horizon, whispered promises float along the night that tempts us to dream big. She teeters on the edge of yesterday and tomorrow, stuck in the middle of karmic timing. Like the Wheel of Fortune reversed, she asks “Do you create your own luck or is it something that exists outside of oneself?”. And to push the philosophical envelope a bit further, we are questioned whether the spirit of luck requires our observation in order for it to exist. A relational loop reopens while the Moon in Virgo addresses those bad habits that need to end. What you decide to change might not even be a bad or negative habit but rather an adjustment that will benefit you more in the future than it does now. Some examples are changing investment strategies, adjusting your diet or supplement regimen, seeking out new strategies or working styles / programs / apps.

Mercury opposes Uranus again on the 10^th as its picking up speed in the final degrees of Scorpio. It opposed Uranus November 19^th on that intense new moon. Conversations from the 19^th get an end cap, reopening the issues and themes from the last New Moon in Scorpio. A sudden change in perspective, thinking, or mental attitude arises around the subject and opens a greater awareness. Mercury is getting thrown by various cosmic winds, it trines Neptune as it also did on the 19^th while in its retrograde phase. The mind was overloaded, reactive, and inflicting deep truths and realities that we’ve just now been making sense of. Mercury comes into its last contact out of three with Uranus and Neptune in this manner for a little while giving us a chance to exhale knowing that we have just experienced a mind splitting process of analysis. Now that I’m linking this up with my own personal experiences that formulated around October 28^th, which was when Mercury had first entered into this aspect with Uranus and Neptune I’m realizing how a tiny unspoken and subtle misunderstanding can grow into tangible friction. What transpired was a miscommunication in one instance and a judgement in another that happened within my social sphere. Messages weren’t getting through which caused a miscommunication or a non-communication event as the person happened to miss or gloss over the text – which then developed into an unspoken projection. Almost as if the message was fated to go unnoticed and cause a ripple effect.

Mercury then ingresses into Sagittarius on the 11^th just after hitting a trine to Neptune, it’s kind of like every planet that passes through the last degree of Scorpio goes through a cleansing process. Communication flows much more easily than it has over the last couple of months. Mercury in Sagittarius can go a few different directions here, sometimes it opens up and broadens the mind into completely new and unexpected territories, and other times it can actually have the opposite effect, drawing in a more dogmatic or rigid way of viewing the world. Sagittarius has opinions and those opinions will certainly be heard even if they aren’t totally formulated especially in the early degrees. While Mercury in Sag can drive a motivating force towards seeking wisdom, philosophical and spiritual understandings, it can also take all new pieces of information as a truth, generating a world view out of just a few slivers. Be mindful of this dichotomy while Mercury flies through the centaur.

Neptune stations direct on the anaretic degree of Pisces. Throughout the next few weeks while Neptune is still in Pisces, we will see rapid psychic developments both in the scientific fields and individually on a personal level. I have been listening to the Telepathy Tapes which came out in September of 2024, many of you probably have listened to already. It’s a podcast that explores telepathy in an imperial way (Saturn in Pisces) and gives undeniable proof that telepathy is in fact real and that many people who are non-verbal communicate in this way. I’m excited about the coming Saturn / Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries as it very well could signify the dawning of a new human evolutionary step in understanding consciousness. It’s like we are collectively beginning to see what humans are capable of, and can be the very start to championing the human spirit through this evolutionary step in communication. With Neptune stationing direct, a wealth of spiritual understanding floods back to the surface inspiring psychic awareness and development.

At the end of the week, Mars ingresses into Capricorn just after making a square to Neptune. Taking risks, actions, and moving in ways that may not appear straight forward or thoughtful to others can cause misunderstandings regarding our intentions. Actions may come across as sneaky, self-serving or geared towards an ulterior motive when that couldn’t be further from the case. However with Mars in Sagittarius we may make decisions that are based off of an ideology rather than practical understanding and create erratic behaviors that we must later atone for. The Sun is also trine Chiron during this day and the ego is craving recognition for how much it has grown, we are able to reflect more deeply on our stance on aggression, anger, eroticism, and conflict resolution for the purpose of exposing where we have matured.

12/8 Monday

The only aspect that the Moon makes today is with Venus in a fire combo of Leo and Sagittarius, we may be feeling bold, brave and adventurous to explore new creative outlets, tastes, and desires. An interesting blend of energies though with Mars squaring Saturn, a sense of restriction to exploration comes into play. It could also be that we take more precaution before jumping off the ledge, consider the ramifications, or feel withheld from the excitable freedom that Mars in Sagittarius naturally aims for. The weight of responsibilities shows up through the Mars / Saturn connection forcing some sort of adjustment or negotiation for the green light.

12/9 Tuesday

An opportunity to heal the ego by confirming for yourself something that you are proud of shines through the remaining moments when the Moon is still in Leo. Sometimes just doing the thing that you know you’re good at helps to boost confidence in oneself, taking a break from pushing, building, developing, and improving is necessary from time to time. We need space to just be, however the Moon moves into Virgo at noon and puts the analytical and self-critical mind into high gear. Remember to give yourself little rewards throughout the day.

12/10 Wednesday

Neptune stations direct today, which probably will easily slip past most people not only because it is an outer, slow moving planet but because Mercury and Venus are causing a lot of communication and relational mishaps. Trigger points are activated. A bad habit has to break and a new pattern emerges. Making an adjustment or change that will benefit you in the future, might mean shifting investment strategies, driving routes, work routines, or health regimens. Or at the very least becoming aware of what you want to eventually change in the future.

12/11 Thursday

Mercury ingresses into Sagittarius today in the afternoon putting a microphone on every single opinion known to man. The quarter moon in Virgo creates a little tension regarding the minute details and logistics, causing mixed signals with plans and what’s to be expected for the day. We may have to move through a little discomfort in order to push through the grand vision for the day and get wrapped up and distracted by small inconveniences. Managing anxiety, health, and the body’s desires vs what the ego is craving.

12/12 Friday

Moon shifts into Libra early in the day putting us in the mood for peace and reciprocity. The next couple of days might have us seeking companionship, connection and validation from others before finding in it within ourselves to initiate our own needs. We’re feeling more accommodating in general. It’s a nice break from the Moon in Virgo energies that we were navigating the last couple of days with more freedom to explore other people’s worlds and change perspectives on relationships in general.

This is a sultry, lustful day and we are CRAVING sensuality; to be seen adoringly through the eyes of another, express our creative and aesthetic abilities, and we are now more open to new perspectives. Mercury sextiles Pluto giving us the ability to look beyond what is being presented to us, keen awareness and understanding permeates the mind. We are also willing to go deep into topics that opens us up to alternative ways of life, seeking out new information in general through a shared experience with friends.

Mars squares Neptune before entering Capricorn later today and the Sun is trine Chiron offering up some confusing or misdirected actions. Mars square Neptune makes it difficult to know exactly what to do or how to move, it makes us a little insecure that we are doing the right thing or acting out properly. It’s also hard to know exactly how we are being perceived during this transit and some of our actions may come across as risky, egotistical, selfish, or maligned even if we’re not meaning it to. Mars then ingresses into Capricorn causing a big adjustment in how we show up desiring a more structured and organized approach. The Neptune square could be the trigger that we need to button up and take more responsibility for the ways we assert ourselves.
