It’s the astrological aspect we’ve all been waiting for and this is going to be a long post so buckle in!


The New Moon Eclipse reigns this week while Venus conjuncts the North Node and Saturn meets with Neptune at 0° Aries. And on top of that we start a fresh new zodiacal season, Pisces. Let’s break it all down and see what exactly these configurations mean for us. Not every eclipse cycle is going to spur up a dramatic storyline for every single person but it does create these windows of insight that sparks change for future cycles. If you are a (Sun or Rising Sign) Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio the intensity of this eclipse will be felt more so than some of the other signs. And if this eclipse at 28° hits any of your personal planets: Moon, Venus, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter then you will certainly notice a tapping at your window. The house placement of the eclipse is the most tell-tale sign of the kinds of epiphanic experiences the eclipse triggers. But by now, since it is just the dawn of the New Moon, we should have a good idea of the main themes that are currently being whirred up around us.

 

The New Moon Eclipse in Aquarius at 28° on the 17th at 4:01 am will also be square to Uranus, eliciting a sudden urge to make adjustments and changes in our lives that might feel unsurmountable at first – the fixed square doesn’t change out of novelty, it changes out of necessity. We may be exposed to a whole new cast of characters, catapulting relationships and friend groups into a different era causing some friction with the old and the new. On the same day of the eclipse the planet of justice, personal values, relationships, and fairness meets with her annual conjunction to the North Node. Last year this conjunction happened at 28° Pisces on February 2nd, consider what relationship dynamics you were engaged with around that time. Expand the notion of relationships to mean not just romance but relating to others in a general sense. How did you view your personal relationships back then? What was the tone, what were your dreams, what were you fantasizing about?

 

Sun ingresses into Pisces on the 18th blurring all of the fine lines and boundaries. Pisces season is the preparatory phase that we enter into just before the rebirth cycle in Aries. While the Sun moves through the watery fish of duality it confuses boundaries, washing away the psychic gunk that had been built up over the last year. A time of introspective spirituality emerges for the collective and we take into consideration what type of life we want to lead. Of course sensitivities are high during this seasonal transition period, general malaise from the never ending winter can put a bit of a funk over our heads and fatigue may set in, which is why listening to your body and taking the time to rest during Pisces season is so important. We may also feel inclined to start or stop certain healthcare routines but not after testing the limit. Pisces can sometimes find it difficult to truly know what it is they need without testing the proverbial waters, their boundlessness has a hand in the continual ebb and flow of personal preference and general needs. If you feel that you are being pulled in multiple directions throughout the month take a time out to reorient the speed in which you push forward. Aries season is right around the corner, we’re in no rush just yet.

This aspect has been long awaited by many astrologers. It is quite phenomenal that this rare occurrence is happening at the 0° point in the sign that signifies rebirth and reawakening. The conspiracy theorists were right per usual and much of what has already been assumed by a niche underground of rogue researchers and journalists is becoming common knowledge by the masses. This is the understanding that there has been a hidden government body working within the united states and beyond to alter the direction of the flow of power on a global scale. This aspect signals a new birth in human consciousness, one where we accept the reality that we live in and rather than crumble under the pressure, find it within ourselves to fight against oppression. I personally see this Saturn / Neptune conjunction as a very revelatory and healing time. One where the weight of responsibility is rightfully placed back where it belongs and a potent moment of self-discovery, empowerment, and self-determination for the individual. I’m going to copy and paste what I wrote for Magic of I on Saturn’s ingress into Aries here as it is quite relevant and speaks to this conjunction in depth:

 

“The stoic father of time is now officially positioned in the cardinal fire sign Aries for the next 2 years. There was a short stint where Saturn entered the ram from June – August of last year and this window gave a peak into where we will be putting in the majority of the work and learning most of our lessons while Saturn travels through the self-motivated and independent sign of Aries. This particular Saturn ingress doesn’t come in quietly as it also hits the 0° mark with Neptune, ushering in hard truths with practical guidance that will indefinitely aid in our self-development. On a collective level, we may find the tone shift significantly with the transition from Saturn in Pisces to Aries, there isn’t as much patience for dwelling, nostalgia, and self-pity or self-limiting beliefs. Commiserating through how hard life is or through despair and victimhood is not as attractive as it once was. What we do find liberating now are stories about how people fought through their difficulties and rose above crushing oppression. Venus and Jupiter trine on the 22nd in the water triplicity by the end of the week offering up some ultra sweet, poetic, and compassionate moments. Yes, romance is also a strong part of the tie between Venus and Jupiter, a longing or desire for depth and genuine connection sparks contact which can be quite healing and downright pleasurable! Romanticism is a mood, a creative style of storytelling, and it often elicits nostalgic tones in the art / entertainment that we choose to consume while Venus in Pisces trines Jupiter in Cancer. Consider this a day for softening into a gentle remembrance and let it inspire your expression for the time that these two benefic planets are in contact. It is a beautiful way to end the week.

The energy builds while numerous conversations are active on the psychic plane. Mercury in Pisces is trine Jupiter activating a strong cohesion between the words we use and their intended meaning. Pisces season ensues! A whole cluster of planets are now in the watery mutable sign, forcing upon us a necessary cleansing that comes along with a kind of rebirth. Generally the mood for the day is quiet and optimistic. The Moon covers Saturn and Neptune in the first hours of the day while picking up speed, it might be difficult to sleep with so much energy coursing through but Saturn teaches us how to temper the emotional uprising and how to discern what we give our energy to. Stability comes through the Moon’s ingress into Taurus. We can start to feel settled into the new normal and navigate with a bit more grounding as to what the next steps are. Moon meets with Chiron first, activating a moment when we need to find the motivation independently of others and take initiative for our own wounds. We find that it is easier when we take accountability and responsibility for our own behaviors and actions rather than forcing a different perspective on another.
