Mercury stations direct!
Whew! That Mercury retrograde cycle zipped right by. I definitely feel like this has been a powerful time for all of us to exercise vulnerability, compassion, empathy, and find more effective ways for self care. Honestly, with everything going on in the world I find myself often feeling at a loss for words. Not because I don’t care or have anything to say, but because so much of how I have felt for a long time is now in the collective dialog. I am glad we are having these hard conversations about race, culture, oppression, etc...but I also feel frustrated with the amount of years I have watched people stay willfully ignorant, that are now only saying things because they feel they have to. It makes me tired, and like I don’t have a lot to say. Maybe I will feel more inspired to say more later on at some point, for now I am allowing myself to learn, absorb, and be open to seeing where I can align myself in the future to be of better support to these movements.
This week Mercury retrograde in Cancer makes a hard aspect to Mars in Aries, asking us to work through communication dynamics in a more confrontational and direct way. We may experience tension on Wednesday, and we could find ourselves taking things personally. It is beneficial for us to work through wounds around perceptions of self within our relationship dynamics. By Friday we may be in a more positive place with ourselves and others when Venus makes a sextile to Chiron in Aries.
Chiron joins the retrograde party on Saturday and will be retrograde until December 15th of this year. Mercury stations direct Sunday, leaving the retrograde party. It is important to remember that while Mercury is stationing direct, is is typically said that the day that a planet is changing motion, is the day that the most difficult energy can be experienced.
We may have a hard time with communication this week, but whatever obstacles we are facing are here to empower us to communicate more effectively who we are with others. Try not to take anything too personally, and find a way to assert your needs without over reacting.

With the Moon in Aquarius starting out the week, we could feel overly passionate about social justice issues, and desire a need to connect with like minded individuals who share our perspective. We could easily get into arguments or debates with others over differing beliefs today as well. With Mercury still retrograde in Cancer, we could take things personally in a way that may be over the top or dramatic. We benefit from working through triggers by learning that our way is not the only way, and that even if we feel self righteous with what we believe to be true, discernment and a healthy level of skepticism can prevent us from being blinded from seeing the bigger picture.
Tuesday 7/6
Moon in Aquarius
Moon inconjunct Sun in Cancer 8:37 am
Our desire to make a difference in the world is emphasized today, and we may feel upset by obstacles that prevent us from making as big of an impact as we would like to make. If you are feeling stuck or stifled in your ability to influence change, try checking in on someone, or donating a little money to an organization doing something you believe in. Little actions go a long way, even if it sometimes feels like it's not enough.
Wednesday 7/7
Mercury RX in Cancer square Mars in Aries 3:42 am
Moon enters Pisces 11:13 am
Moon trine Mercury RX in Cancer 10:35 pm
Mercury retrograde in Cancer makes a challenging aspect to Mars in Aries. This causes communication to be off, reactive, impulsive, and maybe hurtful. We could take things personally and be overly reactive or defensive if not careful. We may have to work on sharing how we feel in a more sensitive or vulnerable way. Vulnerability is not weakness. This is a “check yourself before you wreck yourself” type of transit. While on a personal level we may need to watch how we communicate with others, on a bigger scale, this energy may help empower us to fight for what we believe in. Sometimes the only way to obtain justice or peace is through conflict, something I am still learning and often helping others with. If we remain passive, silent, or indifferent in matters that are hurtful to us or others, we perpetuate cycles of abuse and misuse of power. It is positive for us to learn healthy ways to confront others when we are not feeling safe, respected, or honored. Having constructive conversations about how things make us feel helps empower us in our own lives, as well as helps others to know what our limits or boundaries are. Holding things in often results in a more explosive reaction, which often does more damage than good. Find ways to discuss your feelings in a direct, honest, and confrontational way that is still grounded.
Thursday 7/8
Moon in Pisces
Moon square Venus in Gemini 4:15 am
Moon sextile Uranus in Taurus 6:50 am
Moon trine Sun in Cancer 11:09 pm
With the Moon in Pisces we benefit from spiritual and creative work. Pisces energy connects us to the ethereal and “unreal” worlds. By unreal, I do not mean that the fantasy world is not real, but it is the energy that is “out of this world” and often regarded as intangible or unrealistic. This is the world where dreams and visions are concocted. We are able to envision something more idealistic. It is easier for us to tune in and drop out when the Moon is in Pisces, and our dreams may be extra powerful over the next two days.
This is also a great energy for poets, artists, musicians, and anyone who enjoys tapping more into the creative waters of the mind and heart. We may find ourselves feeling inspired over the next couple days.
Friday 7/9

Moon enters Aries 10:06 pm
Venus in Gemini makes a harmonious aspect to Chiron in Aries. This is a great time for healing insecurities or perceptions of self in regard to our relationships with others. We may feel that over the Venus retrograde cycle in Gemini, we were revisiting some old patterns of behavior when it came to communication and how we relate to others. We may have had some hard talks with people we love, some of us may have ended a friendship or relationship, or started a new one. Someone from our past may have come back to remind us of work we are still doing in regard to how we set boundaries and communicate our needs. This is a good time to reflect on what progress we have made in our relationship to self and how we perceive ourselves in relation to others. If you have been avoiding having a talk with someone, and need to get something off your chest, today may be a good time to begin making those steps to have that talk.
Saturday 7/10

Chiron RX in Aries 2:09 pm
Moon conjunct Mars in Aries 2:16 pm
Moon conjunct Chiron in Aries 5:03 pm
Moon sextile Venus in Gemini 6:21 pm
Chiron stations retrograde in Aries today and empowers us to work on wounds or issues concerning identity. As a world right now we are being forced to face very serious issues within our society. The identity of the nation is transmuting, and we are having to ask ourselves what side of history do we want to be on? Not everyone sees the world the same way, nor do we all agree on what we feel is best for everyone. When we are triggered by others and forced to evaluate perceptions of self and how that is reflected into the world, we are doing work on how we can show up differently in society.
Sunday 7/11
Last Quarter Moon 21 degrees of Aries
Mercury direct 1:26 am
Sun in Cancer trine Neptune RX in Pisces 11:43 am
Moon square Sun in Cancer 4:29 pm
Moon square Jupiter RX in Capricorn 7:25 pm
Moon square Pluto RX in Capricorn 10:03 pm
Mercury stations direct today! I don’t know about you guys but that Mercury RX went by pretty fast for me. Hopefully we all worked on being more vulnerable and confrontational about our feelings during this time. We are learning active self care in the sign of Cancer. Our Sun in Cancer makes a trine to Neptune retrograde in Pisces, which could cause us to feel ungrounded in physical reality over the next couple days. The benefit to this is that we dissolve barriers or blockages to our spiritual and ethereal sense of self. This is a great time for creative and spiritual work. We may have powerful dreams that enable us to see deeper into our subconscious and decode what work we need to do in freeing ourselves from limiting beliefs or perceptions of reality.
Our last quarter Moon in Aries asks us to reflect on our identity at the moment. Who are we? Who do we think we are? Do we need to let go of any parts of our identity to allow ourselves to move into a new chapter more efficiently? Last quarter Moons are a time for release. Work on releasing any perceptions of self that are not in harmony with the future self you are working towards.
